Join Our All Volunteer Team at
Henry County Humane Society
Compassionate, dedicated volunteers are the heart of the Henry County Humane Society. Without them, we couldn’t continue our lifesaving work. Every moment you give helps us provide care, shelter, and second chances to animals in need. But volunteering is more than just lending a helping hand—it’s a commitment to the well-being of the pets and people we serve.
We’re currently seeking volunteers for key roles, including:
-
Lawn Care
Help keep the shelter grounds looking their best by mowing one to two times per month.
HCHS can provide the mower. -
Fundraising Support
Help connect with local businesses, seek sponsorships, and build community support for our shelter project. -
Event Volunteers
Assist with planning, preparation, setup, and day-of support for major fundraising events.
Our needs are always evolving—if you don’t see a role that fits your skills, please check back with us! Your talents may be needed in the future.
If you are interested in fostering with HCHS, you can read about fostering on our Foster page.
How to Get Started
All HCHS volunteers must complete the following volunteer application and attend an orientation. Once your application is received, we’ll email you to schedule your session. Applications are kept on file for 60 days, giving you plenty of time to register.
