Bella
Before our front gate was even installed, Bella appeared on the shelter house porch—waiting patiently, as if she knew help was just inside. Thanks to the Henry County Humane Society, this “Porch Puppy” found the love and care she deserved. DNA testing revealed that Bella is mostly Great Pyrenees, and true to her breed, she’s growing into a gentle giant. Today, she’s thriving in her forever home, surrounded by a family that adores her. Bella’s story is a perfect reminder of the difference a safe haven—and a second chance—can make.
Sassy
Found near our new shelter, Sassy was destined to become the heart of a loving family. Thanks to the care and connection made possible by the Henry County Humane Society, Sassy now shares his days—and his naps—with a new brother. His mom calls him one of the sweetest cats she’s ever had. Sassy’s journey from stray to cherished family member shows just how powerful a fresh start can be.
